One of the oldest and most prestigious universities in New England, Miskatonic University lies within Arkham, Massachusetts, and is home to a variety of professors, researchers, and archaeologists. The university has constantly been on the forefront of research into the arcane, having conducted multiple research trips to Antarctica, the South Pacific, and the Middle East in search of lost civilizations and strange phenomenon. The library is extensive, including one of the only known first editions of the Necronomicon by Abdul Alhazred, as well as numerous diaries and biographies written by some of Arkham's most famed residents. Miskatonic University is open to any who apply, and any who would fearlessly face the unknown with a smile.
